Our candle dye chips are convenient and easy to use. No messy liquids or trying to count drops, only to forget where you were at.
Suggested Use: 1 Chip per 1 Pound in Paraffin Wax. Soy and natural waxes often produce a more pastel color and may require up to 5 chips per pound of wax. Proper testing is required. Color image shown is in paraffin wax.
Add candle dye chips when wax is at least 185 degrees but not hotter than 225 degrees. This will insure the chips dissolve fully and incorporate into the wax.
Works with most candle wax types. Not compatible with gel waxes.

VERY expensive for quantity received (my fault for not correlating size with cost I guess). Some looks fluorescent some don't.

I love the BRILLIANT COLORS and GOOD QUALITY of these chips. Just follow the instructions about the right temperatures of the melting process and you will have AMAZING RESULTS. Have fun with this product! ,)
I love the colors. They have made my soy candles look creamy every time.
Pigment worked well and produced a very nice glow. Some silt that settles out, but not too much. Good price, too.
Small negatives: I can't think of any reason whatsoever that I would need 3 different shades of orange. I ended up doing test batches, picking the orange I liked best (apricot if I remember correctly?) and not bothering too much with the others. I suppose if orange magically became super popular, it's nice to have a sort of back up if I run out of my preferred color, but otherwise I'm probably just stuck with the pigment forever.
Other small quibble: there is absolutely no way 1 chip to 1 pound is viable. Testing for me worked out to about 10 chips per 8 oz for a really good color saturation and glow. Just something to be aware of if you're looking at any sort of costing.
Another commenter mentioned mixing the florescent with regular pigment. I wouldn't recommend this tactic if you are using the uv chips specifically for the glow. The regular pigment blocks the uv glow in the finished product and gives the candles an odd gray cast under blacklight.
Overall, though, completely positive experience and I will definitely be buying the uv chips again, although probably individual colors and not the sample pack.
So far, I've only used the Pink Fluorescent dye and it glows beautifully. However, I will say you should use more than 1 chip per gallon if you want a darker candle/glow. Mine are very light pink and glow almost white under the black light. Next batch, I'll add a few more chips.
So I like to be different and unique so I had to try these. I probably should have experimented with these a little more before leaving this review but here you go anyway. I made a small batch of candles with these and was very pleased with the colors. However and this could be my fault, the colors kind of settled to the bottom of my containers as the candles cooled and set up. As I said this may be my fault and probably needs more R&D to get it perfect.
One thing i did try and really liked with these was add a small amount to a regular corresponding color. By just adding one chip of these to a normal color gives it a very cool look. If you like different like I do give these a go and see what you come up with. I think you will like what you see!
