📦 Orders & Processing

What is the current NorthWood Candle & Craft order processing time?
Our order processing time is always listed in the banner at the top of our website. This is the time it takes us to prepare your candle making supplies for shipment — shipping time is extra. Processing may take a little longer during sales or busy seasons (October–December).

Can I pay for rush order processing on candle supplies?
Yes! Choose Rush Processing during checkout to get your order shipped faster. Rush Processing can only be selected when placing your order.

How do I cancel or edit my NorthWood Candle Supply order?
You can cancel or change your order within 24 hours of placing it:

  • Ask us to edit or cancel by emailing us (there’s a $10 fee for edits or cancellations. Cancllations are also subject to a 5% fee to cover credit card processing costs) 

Can I change my shipping address after ordering candle making supplies?
Yes, if it’s within 24 hours. Changes require that your new address matches your billing address for security.

Why were my candle making supplies combined into one package?
We usually pack multiples separately (two 8 oz fragrance oils = two bottles), but sometimes combine them to save space. If you want them separate, leave a note at checkout.

I didn’t get a confirmation email for my candle supply order — what should I do?
Check your spam & promotiuons folder and make sure you entered the correct email address at checkout.

What if my candle supply order has the wrong item or quantity?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll fix the issue quickly.

We’re based in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, just outside Minneapolis. We operate from a warehouse (no retail storefront), shipping candle making supplies and craft products nationwide.

Do you offer coupon codes or sales on candle making supplies?
We run just a few sales and discounts each year, announced through our newsletter. Sign up to get notified.

Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing on candle making materials?
Our products are already wholesale-priced, but customers who spend $10,000+ annually can qualify for extra bulk discounts — email us to learn more.

What payment methods can I use to buy candle making supplies online?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Shopify Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Coinbase, and business checks (checks may delay shipping).

Where does NorthWood Candle Supply charge sales tax?
We collect sales tax in:

How do I submit a tax-exempt certificate for my candle supply orders?

  1. Create a customer account.

  2. Email your tax-exempt certificate and account email to us.
    (We can’t refund tax for past orders.)

Can I change my shipping method after ordering?
No — once your order is placed, shipping speed and carrier can’t be changed.

What if USPS or UPS says my candle supply order was delivered but I didn’t get it?
If you purchased insurance at checkout, you can file a claim. Otherwise, please contact the carrier directly. We can’t replace orders marked as delivered. If theft is possible, we recommend filing a police report.

What can I make with NorthWood Candle & Craft fragrance oils?
Our fragrance oils work in candles, wax melts, soap, bath bombs, lotions, reed diffusers, perfumes, room sprays, potpourri, and more.

Are your fragrance oils skin-safe?
Many are, when used at proper levels. Check the IFRA certificate on each product page for skin-safe usage rates.

What does IFRA mean and what is a maximum use level?

  • IFRA (International Fragrance Association) sets safe fragrance usage limits.

  • Maximum use level is the highest safe concentration for skin contact. Always test before selling. You will often use less.

Where can I find fragrance oil Safety Data Sheets (SDS)?
Every fragrance product page includes a link to its SDS at the bottom of the description.

Are NorthWood fragrance oils all-natural?
They contain a mix of natural and synthetic ingredients. Some include essential oils, but they’re not marketed as all-natural.

How do I find a fragrance oil on your site?
Use our search bar with fragrance names or scent descriptions (e.g., “vanilla,” “citrus,” “woodsy”), or browse our fragrance collections.

Does NorthWood Candle & Craft create custom fragrance oil blends?
We don’t offer one-off blends, but we’re happy to consider new fragrance suggestions.

How are fragrance oils packaged for shipping?

  • 1 oz–16 oz: clear PET bottles

  • 7 lb: plastic jug

  • 14+ lbs: multiple jugs or 5 galloon containers.

If I order multiple fragrance oils, will you combine bottles?
Not usually. You’ll receive the exact sizes you ordered. Want them combined? Leave a note at checkout.

What if I don’t like the fragrance after ordering?
Test it in your product — fragrance can smell different in the bottle versus finished goods. If you still don’t like it, you can share or trade it within maker groups.

Can I return fragrance oils to NorthWood Candle Supply?
Fragrance oil are final sale, but if we sent the wrong one, contact us within 7 days for a replacement.
