Wick Testing Tips
Proper testing is key to great burning candles. Don't forget to trim your wicks! The level of crackling from the wicks will vary based on a number of factors. We have found 8% fragrance levels to provide the optimal crackle in most combinations. We are unable to guarantee a crackle from any of our wicks.
We have found these wicks to burn too hot for most coconut waxes. Try our line of HPSP, CD, CDN, or LX wicks for coconut wax blends!

These are really cool! It's a bit of a learning curve, but once the right formula is achieved they work beautifully and my scent throw was phenomenal with these!
Love the wooden wick for my candles. Sometimes they won’t stay lit but I just tilt the candle to the side until more wax melts, then it’s fine. I only use for personal use due to that fact.

I have been having such a rough time with finding a wick that stays lit I purchase from several candle companies I’ve purchased from Amazon every wick that I have purchased I can’t get it to stay lit, coming onto northwest site to purchase fragrances, and to check out the wicks after reading several of the reviews, which were all positive I decided my last hope to give Northwood wicks a try I did and oh my goodness I am so excited to make Candles, the first one I lit on a practice candle it lit right away no smoke no black jars and it’s continually to burn from wall to wall so now I feel more confident in making my batch of candles with the wooden stick. I've tried so many wood wicks from different companies only to be disappointed each time. After reading the reviews here, I decided to give it another try.
These burn perfect each time and I tried all 4 sizes. I am so pleased to finally find a wood wick that burns evenly and with little lighting effort. I don't have to babysit it to make sure it's going to stay burning. Love them!!!!
After trying several places for wood wicks (Amazon and a candle company) I found these. They are the only ones that burn normally with a decent flame and crackle nicely.
I have enjoyed all the wood wicks in my candles so far. No issues relighting after a trim. The crackle is beautiful and they burn great. Shipping was also quick and love how they place an extra wax melt to try a fragrance out. I will be using these wick for my candle business.

I ordered large wood wicks for my square 3x3 diameter candle which worked beautifully. I used 8% for the C-3 soy wax which works good.
