LX Candle Wicks
Coreless Braided Wick Design - Great Scent Throw - Self-Trimming
- Flat, braided wick designed without a core. The coreless design minimizes the carbon buildup that causes mushrooming.
- Primed with clean-burning paraffin wax. The high melt point of this wax (212°F) helps keep wicks straight as you work with molten wax.
- Designed with stabilizing threads that create an even, consistent flame with minimal soot and smoke.
- Versatile wicks that are great for any type of wax. LX wicks are ideal for paraffin blends and vegetable (soy) waxes. Perform well in container candles as well as pillars.
Length: 6"
Tab size: 20mm round base with a 6mm neck that helps stabilize the wick.
Lead and zinc free.

These coreless braided wicks perform exceptionally well with coconut, parasoy, and coconut apricot crème wax. Customers praised "amazing" hot throw, self-trimming capabilities, and steady flames without soot. Some noted shipping delays of 2 weeks. Highly compatible with various wax types and praised for quality and fast delivery in most cases.

The LX 21 performed well in my 12 oz Libbey Status jar sample. It took a while to get them though. Ordered on 2/5/24 and they arrived 2/18 or 2/19. This was all I ordered as I was testing wick sizes. Two weeks is too long to wait for ten sample wicks, imo, especially when you’re just one or two states away.
So made multiple yankee style jar candles using the 4 different wicks but now have to burn them to understand what works and what does not.
This is the main wick I use and I just got to graduate to buying 500 at a time instead of 100!

Great wicks and fast shipping!
I’m a NorthWoods HPSP wick user but if I had a second best for coconut wax candles it be LX for sure.
I have not used these wicks yet, so I will enter it once testing is done. I ordered LX wicks in 10, 12 and 14. I receive bags and boxes of materials almost daily, so I saw there were 3 packages of wicks, cool!, yay!…..I can begin testing and I set them aside. Hubby gave me his cold which delayed testing. Post cold, I pulled out the wicks to begin testing and noticed the 12 and 14 wicks were a different brand. UGH!! As a human being or more specifically, a disabled one, I dreaded the hoops I was convinced I would have to jump through. Being disabled, EVERY problem uses up precious energy I have little of and is unintentionally blown out of proportion. (That’s how it feels to me). I sent an email to Northwood and received a quick response. I explained the mix up and included photos of my order and what I actually received. I didn’t have the pull or packing ticket, it was long gone. Regardless, Northwood mailed the LX 12’s and 14’s PRONTO! The issue was handled quickly, professionally and KINDLY. Do you think I will ever forget Northwood Candle Company NO way!! I want to wish NCC the most sincere THANK YOU! I will never forget this and will always purchase from Northwood. I will also refer them as one of the very few most principled candle companies in the business! Many thanks again, you guys won my heart!
I always buy from this supplier. Fast shipping!!! All there wicks are great! I am at a wick testing phase and they’ve been great especially the HSPS. LX. CDN wicks!
The Lx wicks have really worked well with my CAC. The ht is amazing
This wicks performed amazing in my coconut apricot crème (cal wax) candles the ht was amazing, will most definitely be purchasing more.
I like LX Wicks. They burn slow. I purchased two other series that may go with my wax that I am using. If they do not work. LX wicks from Northwood will be my number one choice.
I absolutely love my wicks, they work perfect with my wax parasoy.
I’ve enjoyed every purchase!
Great product, definitely good with coconut wax
Northwood is definitely on my top list of vendors. I’m always satisfied with all my products and I love earning points and surprises that come in every order. One stop shop. Website is user friendly and customer service is excellent. Customer for life.
It’s all about the wick. I’ve used several different types of wicks since I started making candles. Since my favorite wicks are no longer available, I needed to find a good replacement. These wicks are nice. I will definitely buy them again.
I've found that this wick works very well with paraffin-soy. Its a very steady flame, doesn't put out soot or leaves black marks on the vessels. Definitely my go to wick!
These are great self trimming wicks. Shipping was quick wicks arrived in great condition. Great experience overall
